I love the CD player. It works better then all of the 4 other CD/MP3 player I have bought be for.
The player bookmarks, a definite plus when listening to audio books and doesn't skip as I listen while doing a variety of activities. I tried several less expensive CD players but they skipped, broke rapidly, and didn't bookmark. I enjoy listening to audio books from the library. This player allows me to do that. This constantly required finding where the story was last stopped when again listening to the audio book. There are models on which the batteries can be changed w/o removing the CD (a nice feature) and there are models that are easier to open and close, but the fact this model bookmarks, doesn't skip, and is sturdy makes it a keeper.
At first I didnt get it you have to screw and unscrew the walkman to place the cd in it. Not as common as you think in a walkman. Once I figured it out it was great. I listen to books on tape when I work out and it picks back up were I left off. The sound is great and I even dropped it and not even a scratch very sturdy. It will probly be the only kind of walkman I will ever use.
The LCD screen actually showed the name of the song like an mp3 player(even with burned discs).It's designed for you to slip onto your hand like a glove, and the skip/Previous bottons are right there under your thumb. I received this as a gift from my grandmother and to be honest I knew it was going to work great right off the bat, for the simple reason that it's made by Sony. When I put my first CD in I got a huge suprise. Overall this was the greatest CD player i've owned yet. 4/5.
